William Leiner, Jr. to Present at 2016 American Psychiatric Nurses Association Pennsylvania Chapter Annual Conference
President of the Lehigh Valley American Holistic Nurses Association to address annual APNA conference in Pittsburgh with holistic approach to care presentation.
Quakertown, PA, March 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is happy to announce that William Leiner, Jr. has been selected as a speaker for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) Pennsylvania chapter conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Scheduled for April 23, 2016, the APNA conference will focus on providing training and thought leadership for psychiatric nurses. This year’s theme, The Psychiatric Nurse’s Role in the Identification and Treatment of Vulnerable Populations, will share information to highlight the challenges associated with participating in recovery services based on association with a number of demographic groups.
Director of Wellness for New Vitae Mount Trexler Manor and Young Adult Services, and president of the Lehigh Valley chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), Leiner will give a presentation entitled, “The New Pentateuch.” It will examine the importance of incorporating five heavily favored concepts into behavioral healthcare, including: brain wellness, the Recovery Model, the Sanctuary Model, Motivational Interviewing, and the Stages of Change. The discussion will facilitate a better understanding of these concepts, emphasize the interplay between these broad ideas, and review ways to apply these ideas with those who participate in services and in the larger community.
“I am excited to be able to bring these concepts to the APNA,” Leiner notes. “Using these ideas as a foundation for providing services has heightened the emphasis on holistic health at New Vitae Wellness and Recovery. I look forward to being able to provide examples to facilitate the application of these concepts to other health and human services organizations.”
