Teen Actress Rory Nicole Ogden Attends the 2016 Montessori Model UN Global First Initiative
New York, NY, March 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Teen actress Rory Nicole Ogden was asked to carry the flag that opened the 2016 the Montessori Model United Nations Global Education First Initiative Opening Reception.
The Model Montessori United Nations conference celebrated it's 10th anniversary this year. Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. In Model UN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN member states to debate current issues on the organization’s agenda. While playing their roles as ambassadors, student “delegates” make speeches, prepare draft resolutions, negotiate with allies and adversaries, resolve conflicts, and navigate the Model UN conference rules of procedure – all in the interest of mobilizing “international cooperation” to resolve problems that affect countries all over the world.
Rory thought the program was amazing. "I really wish I would have had an opportunity like this, There are so many issues in the world that could be helped and brought to light by kids. Programs like this could change the world for the better!" She went on to say “I can’t believe they even asked me to even carry a flag, and I was so excited when they told me I would be leading the procession!”
Rory has appeared on multiple episodes of of ABC's What Would You Do? with
