Educational Bus Transportation Awarded EPA Grant to Reduce Overall Fleet Emissions

Massapequa, NY, March 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Children in Long Island’s Copiague, Massapequa, Amityville and Half Hollow Hills School Districts who ride Educational Bus Transportation buses will soon enjoy a cleaner, healthier environment. A member of The Trans Group, LLC (Spring Valley, NY), Educational Bus Transportation was recently awarded a grant through the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) National Clean Diesel Rebate Program to help replace older school buses. Educational Bus Transportation also provides mini-bus transportation for school districts in eastern Nassau and western Suffolk counties.

“The EPA and Educational Bus Transportation are committed to the cleaner operation of school buses by implementing the latest clean diesel technologies,” explained Sean Corr, President of Educational Bus Transportation. “We are grateful that the application submitted to the EPA was selected for funding and $200,000 has been allocated to help us purchase newer, cleaner buses.”

According to the EPA website, the National Clean Diesel Rebate Program was designed to encourage school bus fleet turnover so more children can ride buses with the cleanest emissions standards.
