Gilbert J. Munoz, CPA, Appointed Vice President of West Tampa Chamber of Commerce for 2016

Tampa, FL, March 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Gilbert J. Munoz, CPA, has been appointed as the vice president of the West Tampa Chamber of Commerce. In consultation with other Board members, the Chamber's incoming 2016 president, Dawn Hudson, has chosen Mr. Munoz to hold the role of vice president.

His term began January 1, 2016, and will last for two years. As vice president of the West Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Munoz will assist the president in facilitating both monthly membership and Board meetings as well as serving on the Membership Committee and Community & Development Committee. Other responsibilities will include participating in local community meetings and taking part in local Chamber outreach such as the Optimist Citizens Dinner, charity functions, and ribbon cuttings.

Mr. Munoz states, "I was impressed with what the West Tampa Chamber has been doing in the community and more impressed by the Board members, their commitment to each other and the community, and their dedication to teamwork. I was especially impressed with the outgoing president, Mr. Leo Alvarez, and what he accomplished during his term. My decision to accept this position was also due to the respect I have for the existing Board members and the new incoming president, Ms. Dawn Hudson. I am confident that the Board has elected a very capable, respected, and talented president for 2016."

A West Tampa native, Mr. Munoz has extensive experience working with small businesses and is active in the local community. He is the current president of the Homeowners Association of White Trout Estates, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a board member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church Finance Council.
