Tech4Learning’s Wixie, a cloud-based authoring tool for K12 students, is a finalist in the EdTech Digest Awards Program for 2016.
San Diego, CA, March 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Tech4Learning’s Wixie is a finalist in the EdTech Digest Awards Program for 2016. The EdTech Digest created this awards program “in acknowledgment of the cool tools, leaders and trendsetters undauntedly energizing education.”
Wixie is a publishing and creativity platform used by students to demonstrate their content knowledge and showcase their creativity. Students can access Wixie online from school or home on a wide variety of devices and paint pictures, write stories, and record their voice to showcase their knowledge and ideas. Teachers can use management tools to find, create, or assign new activities, evaluate student work, and view student progress toward standards mastery.
"This year's program had some very stiff competition, hard decisions were made in selecting winners. The honorees here are among the best and brightest in the edtech space. Finalists and winners both represent an achievement. We're proud to honor these cool tools, leaders and trendsetters in education technology," says Victor Rivero, who oversees the program as Editor-in-Chief of EdTech Digest. "Technology is opening the door to a renaissance in education," he says. "The EdTech sector has experienced tremendous growth in the past several years, and there is also tremendous quality of products and very talented people out there. These honorees are among edtech's best and brightest."
“We are honored that Wixie was chosen for this award,” shares David Wagner, CEO of Tech4Learning. “Hundreds of thousands of students are using Wixie to make classroom learning relevant and engaging and we can’t wait to see how teachers and students create with it next.”
