Overseas Expansion of Snugglybabies Baby Car Mirror to America

America already have strong competitors, considering there are hundreds of brands out there. It would seem that Snugglybabies would feel some difficulties breaking into the market, then again, there is something unique about their design compared to the generic baby mirrors out there.

After having examined the American market, there seems to be the same generic mirror with the use of straps, otherwise there are suction cups available. Having been informed about the difference, the suction cup causes a lot of judder as well as being very unstable, causing it to fall off during cold and humid weather. The Strap mirrors have been seen to be more stable than the suction baby mirrors, but still fairly unstable, due to the board “surfing” onto the headrest cushion. This is where Snuglybabies baby car mirror comes in, it’s a unique latch design, where no tools are needed, a simple latch and lock technology. The idea is a clamp, clamping onto the bar rather than a board on a soft cushion, therefore there the stability is much higher. There have also been reports that if the straps aren’t tied properly, then the mirror itself would fall out of place.

In terms of the market in America, there are multiple brands selling the same item, the strap design with different sized mirrors and colours. Overall America has a very large market, that any product can be sold, provided it is useful to the user. Therefore, Snugglybabies might have a hard time entering, but if people see it’s potential, then snugglybabies may be able to come to light.
