Sospes Launches Cloud and Mobile Software for Managing Worker Safety
Boulder, CO, April 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Sospes, LLC announced the production release of its innovative cloud-based and mobile application software that companies deploy for managing worker safety. A key feature of the new product is the ability for any worker to quickly and easily report workplace incidents, close calls or even suggestions, anonymously if they wish, from mobile devices. The reports are then immediately transmitted to supervisors or safety professionals where reports can be completed, events assessed for risk potential, root cause investigations launched and documented, and preventative actions evaluated and implemented. The system automatically generates key management reporting as well as required regulatory reports, such as those required for OSHA.
“Since the creation of OSHA in 1971, we have made enormous progress protecting workers in this country, but this year there will still be about 4.8 million workplace injuries, costing employers $170 billion,” said Thomas Carson, founder and CEO of Sospes. “We are proud to apply our extensive software product experience to bring a creative solution for improving safety management at all levels, from including workers in the process to delivering managers with actionable data on sources of risk in the workplace.”
Sospes’ mobile app allows workers to report workplace incidents involving injuries, property damage, environmental hazards and security threats from any location at any time. “Engaging all workers in the process for maintaining a safe workplace creates a strong community of shared responsibility,” noted Scott Brothers, Vice President of Channels. “And by making the entire process digital, there are no more lost, late or incomplete reports on time critical incidents. We literally put safety in the palm of your hand,” he continued.
The production launch of the software follows a year of development and beta testing during which the product was refined to meet users’ needs and requests. Mr. Carson added, however, that software is never finished – it is always evolving to meet changing needs and requirements of its users.
