RE/MAX Honors Tom Humpal, Owner of Offices in Rockford, Belvidere and Rochelle, as Its 2015 Trendsetter
Chicago, IL, April 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Tom Humpal, broker/owner of RE/MAX Property Source in Rockford and Belvidere, Ill., and RE/MAX Hub City in Rochelle, Ill., has been honored by the RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network with the 2015 Trendsetter Award. Humpal received the honor at the recent 39th Annual RE/MAX Awards Ceremony.
The Trendsetter Award recognizes the contributions of those within the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network who are consistently ahead of the curve in adapting to industry trends and whose progressive outlook and actions benefit both their own business and the RE/MAX network.
Humpal’s business acumen and leadership have helped attracted outstanding professionals to the RE/MAX brand and have built market share for RE/MAX in the north central Illinois area.
He entered the real estate industry in 1975 and was long established as the owner of an independent brokerage in the Rockford area when a group of eight local RE/MAX agents approached Humpal in 2011 and urged him to establish a new RE/MAX franchise in the Rockford market.
“At first I declined because I was satisfied with my current situation, but the agents urged me to at least learn more about RE/MAX, and when I did, I was extremely impressed,” Humpal recalled. “I decided it made sense for me to affiliate with RE/MAX and I’m delighted that I made the move.”
He not only opened RE/MAX Property Source in Rockford but shortly thereafter purchased an existing RE/MAX franchise in nearby Belvidere. Today, the two RE/MAX Property Source offices have a combined sales team of 20 brokers and are key players in the Rockford-area real estate market.
“Our community and our real estate market have faced some significant challenges during the last 10 years, but it has always been my philosophy to look at the positive side of things,” Humpal said. “I’ve been impressed with the progress made to date with the Transform Rockford initiative, and we’re seeing the results of that and of an improving economy in a stronger real estate market this year. There is even a shortage of homes for sale right now, which should help boost property values.”
Last year, Humpal stepped somewhat outside the Rockford-Belvidere market when he purchased the busy RE/MAX Hub City office in Rochelle, a growing community in the heart of the I-39 corridor.
“Rochelle is fast emerging as a key transportation hub for both truck and rail, and its role will only increase if the proposed new freight railroad designed to move shipments around Chicago becomes a reality,” he noted. “I believe our brokerage and our agents are catalysts that will help our local economy generate an enviable level of growth over the next several decades.”
RE/MAX agents consistently rank among the most productive in the industry. In 2015, RE/MAX Northern Illinois agents averaged 18 transaction sides. RE/MAX has been the leader in the northern Illinois real estate market since 1989 and is continually growing. The RE/MAX Northern Illinois network, with headquarters in Elgin, Ill., consists of more than 2,250 sales associates and 105 independently owned and operated RE/MAX offices that provide a full range of residential and commercial brokerage services. Its mobile real estate app, available for download at www.illinoisproperty.com, provides comprehensive information about residential and commercial property for sale in the region. The northern Illinois network is part of RE/MAX, a global real estate organization with 104,000+ sales associates in 90+ nations.
