Rugged Science Introduces 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 (Skylake) Processor Powered Rugged Embedded Computers

Sparks, MD, April 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Rugged Science announced today the release of two new models of rugged embedded computers featuring new 6th generation Intel® Core™ i7 (Skylake) processors. The new EBC-1000 Series and IVH-9000 Series both offer Intel’s newest Core i7 CPUs, outstanding performance, compact integrated features, and flexible expansion options.

The EBC-1000 Series embedded PC’s boast an incredibly small form factor, fanless, solid-state design, RAM up to 16Gb, up to 5 COM ports, 2 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, 4 USB ports, support for up to 3 independent 4K displays, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F). EBC-1000 Series computers are surprisingly small, measuring 5.75 inches long, and 4.02 inches wide. EBC-1000 Series computers are available with Intel Core Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 or Celeron® (Skylake-U) processors.

Rugged Science also released the IVH-9000 Series of rugged embedded computers, designed specifically for high performance, in-vehicle computing applications. The IVH Series are equipped with 6th generation, quad-core Intel® Xeon® Core™ i7, i5, and i3 processors, and up to 32 Gb RAM. They feature a stunning 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports with PoE, 4 RS-232 COM ports, 5 external USB 3.0 ports, and 4 front-access, 2.5-inch SSD (solid state drive) bays. IVH-9000 series computers also support up to 3 independent 4K displays, offer configurable ignition control, and a -25°C to 70°C (-13°F to 157°F). They are ideal solutions for intelligent transportation, intelligent surveillance, and fleet management applications.
