Consumers looking for local Medicare Supplement insurance agents learned of an outstanding online resource as the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance's Find An Agent look-up made national news this week.
Los Angeles, CA, April 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Consumers were exposed today to information about the nation's number-one generic online Medicare Supplement insurance agent directory.
"With 10,000 Americans turning 65 every day according to U.S. census data, there's never been greater interest in Medicare Supplement insurance," shares Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI). The organization launched a campaign to increase awareness for AAMSI's Find A Local Medigap Insurance Agent online directory.
"Our effort is already generating positive results," declares AAMSI director Slome. "Reports about the AAMSI directory were featured in some 150 news reports across the country today."
"We know consumers want to get information and costs comparisons from local Medicare Supplement experts," Slome adds. The directory that was significantly expanded in 2016 includes names and contact information for Medigap contacts nationwide. "Consumers contact the agent. There's no information to submit so a consumer's personal information isn't sold or marketed endlessly," Slome notes.
AAMSI recently released the 2016 Medicare Supplement insurance Price Index, reporting costs for coverage in Top-10 U.S. markets. "There can be a significant difference between the lowest cost and the highest cost for identical Medigap plans according to the AAMSI study," Slome explains. "Our goal is to make Medigap comparison shopping simpler for consumers."
