Mims Distributing Company Announces Release of Anchor Brewing’s Pacific Siren Series
Two New Beers – Meyer Lemon Lager and Mango Wheat – Part of New Series from California Craft Brewery
Raleigh, NC, April 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Mims Distributing Company, a wholesale beverage distributor in North Carolina, has announced the release of two beers in Anchor Brewing Company’s new Pacific Siren Series, Meyer Lemon Lager™ and Mango Wheat™. The series adds a refreshing, tropically aromatic twist to the renowned California brewery’s lineup of distinctive, hand-crafted beers.
Inspired by California-grown Meyer Lemons, Meyer Lemon Lager (4.5% ABV) was created to showcase this extraordinary fruit, which is sweeter than regular lemons and has a zestier, spicy rind. The beer is brewed with Meyer lemon juice, dried lemon peels and California Cluster hops. It’s then cellared on dried Meyer lemon peels and Lemondrop hops, yielding a bright, full-flavored and complex beer. Another nod to its home state, the distinctive design of the beer’s can depicts a mythic siren that was inspired by a 75-year-old California fruit-crate label.
The second release in Anchor’s Pacific Siren Series, Mango Wheat, delivers bright, fragrant aromatics in a light, effervescent ale. Made with a blend of 2-Row Pale and Wheat Malt, and Cascade and Golding hops, Mango Wheat is a tropical wheat beer that gushes with flavor and aroma, just like slicing into a ripe mango.
Along with Anchor’s Meyer Lemon Lager, Mango Wheat will be available year-round in 12 oz. cans beginning March 2016.

About Anchor Brewing:
Anchor Brewing Company’s roots date back to the California Gold Rush making it one of America’s oldest breweries. Its Anchor Steam® Beer is San Francisco’s original since 1896. In 1965, Fritz Maytag acquired and revived the struggling brewery at a time when mass production of beer dominated and seemed unstoppable. Maytag started a revolution in beer that originated today’s craft beer movement. An undisputed icon, Anchor is America’s first craft brewery where beers are handmade in our traditional copper brewhouse from an all-malt mash. At Anchor, we practice the time-honored art of classical brewing, employing state-of-the-art methods to ensure that our beers are always pure and fresh. We know of no brewery in the world that matches our efforts to combine traditional, natural brewing with such carefully applied, modern methods of sanitation, finishing, packaging and transporting.
