SecuraTrac® MobileDefender™, Model S (MD-S) Smallest in-Home & Mobile PERS Unit Ever
Key Innovations in Next Generation Mobile Safety for Seniors & Lone Workers
Los Angeles, CA, April 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- SecuraTrac®, a leading provider of mobile health and safety solutions focused on senior safety, employee well-being and the healthcare markets this week will be attending ISC West the largest event focused on physical security in the US hosted annually. SecuraTrac will market and promote their next generation mPERS mobile emergency pendant. The model S (MD-S) is developed on the same platform as the powerful MobileDefender™ and introduces new capabilities that will help to ensure the safety of those who use the MD-S and the SecuraTrac platform.
“One of the key innovations offered with the MD-S,” said Chris Holbert, SecuraTrac CEO, “is the new in-home pendant. The new pendant is a tiny, truly wearable device - on the wrist or on a break-away lanyard. This allows our customers to keep the mobile device docked in the charger while at home yet continue to have easy access to emergency response. This is because the in-home pendant takes the place of the MD-S inside the home and provides a feather-lite emergency option with great location capabilities. When mobile safety is needed outside the home, our customers simply remove the light-weight MD-S from the dock as they do today. The in-home and mobile capabilities do not require a large base station or another device tied to the customer’s phone (landline or mobile). In addition to the new, in-home wearable pendant, the MD-S now offers a built-in Fall Advisory capability. Again, this is all in a single device and the Fall Advisory feature can be enabled or disabled and can be tuned for the senior and lone worker markets.”
The new MD-S leverages existing SecuraTrac cloud-based technology to locate both the in-home pendant and the mobile MD-S while adding the ability for Central Stations to respond to potential falls.
As Robert Tomlinson, Vice President of Sales said, “the MD-S differentiates itself within the mPERS landscape because of another new and innovative feature we call wake on SOS. Wake on SOS gives this small, mobile PERS device the ability to last over 30 days on a single charge because the device is off until the SOS button is activated. This preserves the battery while enabling the device to turn-on, locate, transmit its location, and make the emergency phone call after the SOS is activated. There is no other product in our space capable of doing this. This plus all of the other great features in one, small package is a game changer.” He continued, “In the end our latest product introduction addresses the most vital needs of our customer-base: 1) longer battery life (30+ days), 2) single device Fall Advisory that can be tuned, and 3) accurate in-home location capability from a tiny wearable pendant.”
