Hinsdale Broker Linda Feinstein Joins RE/MAX Northern Illinois Network; Promptly Soars to Top of Individual Sales Ranking
In her first full calendar year with RE/MAX, Linda Feinstein was saluted as the top ranked individual RE/MAX agent in northern Illinois based on 2015 sales.
Chicago, IL, April 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- It didn’t take Linda Feinstein long to make herself at home with RE/MAX. Early in the autumn of 2014, Feinstein finalized the decision to make her successful Hinsdale real estate office part of the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network, rechristening her office as RE/MAX Signature Homes.
Roughly 16 months later, having completed her first full calendar year in the RE/MAX network, Feinstein was being saluted as the top ranked individual RE/MAX agent in northern Illinois based on 2015 sales.
It was the first time an agent new to the network had accomplished that feat in more than two decades. To reach that exalted status Feinstein sold 86 properties last year, generating more than $63 million in closed sales volume.
One thing that makes Feinstein rather unusual among top producing brokers is that she gladly handles anything from the multi-million-dollar homes that are not uncommon in the Hinsdale and Burr Ridge markets she serves, to homes priced at less than $100,000.
“I still joke with the other brokers in my office about the day last year when I secured a $5 million listing in the morning, and then that same afternoon took a listing for a $62,000 double-wide trailer,” she recalled. “I’m proud that I sell homes at almost every price point.”
Feinstein noted that her move to RE/MAX made things easier for her and all the agents in her office.
“Homeowners know and respect the RE/MAX name, and that makes it easier to do a listing presentation because there is less explaining to do, especially with new clients who don’t know me and aren’t coming to me through a referral,” Feinstein said.
Feinstein doesn’t do it all on her own, however. She has two full-time assistants and regularly employs the services of a specialist in home staging and a professional photographer.
As for finding herself at the top of the RE/MAX individual rankings for 2015, Feinstein admits to being a bit surprised.
“It seemed as though the housing market in our area was fairly slow for sizeable portions of last year. Homes were selling, but the level of activity wasn’t that high,” she said. “But in a way, slow markets give me more time to think, and that stimulates my creative side.”
Last year, for example, she stopped using traditional virtual tours and changed to using drones to create aerial virtual tours that she posts on Facebook. She also came up with some creative approaches to open houses to attract more visitors. She did a patio party at one home, and at another house that had a lot of features for pets, she held a dog open house and invited people to bring their pooch along.
“I think it’s vital to get potential buyers into a home, and that has gotten more difficult in recent years,” said Feinstein, who first earned her license in 1987 and has owned her own real estate office since 1999. “Today, I think too many buyers limit themselves to looking at properties online because it’s easy, but you can miss a lot if you don’t actually experience a house.”
RE/MAX agents consistently rank among the most productive in the industry. In 2015, RE/MAX Northern Illinois agents averaged 18 transaction sides. RE/MAX has been the leader in the northern Illinois real estate market since 1989 and is continually growing. The RE/MAX Northern Illinois network, with headquarters in Elgin, Ill., consists of more than 2,250 sales associates and 106 independently owned and operated RE/MAX offices that provide a full range of residential and commercial brokerage services. Its mobile real estate app, available for download at www.illinoisproperty.com, provides comprehensive information about residential and commercial property for sale in the region. The northern Illinois network is part of RE/MAX, a global real estate organization with 104,000+ sales associates in 90+ nations.
