NexGen Networks Expands Latin American Services with New Presence in Mexico
NexGen will meet continued strong demand for network services into Mexico by extending its network into Mexico City.
Mexico City, Mexico, April 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- NexGen Networks, a leading global provider of ultra high-speed fiber-optic services with a distinctive customer service approach, today announced that it will expand its network services into Mexico City - a growing market at the center of the second largest economy in Latin America. The new Mexico City point of presence continues a series of expansions in the southern US and Latin America, resulting in a robust and growing suite of NexGen services in the region.
“NexGen is pleased to meet strong consumer demand in the region with a new presence in Mexico City,” says NexGen’s SVP of Global Sales, James Erickson. “It is a major economic hub, and it is poised to become a critical telecommunications center as competition in that sector of its economy grows. We are glad to be near the forefront of that development.”
Mexico City is the largest metropolitan area in North America and increasingly an important global financial center - having this year jumped up 10 spots to be ranked 53rd in the world in the Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI). Reforms in the telecommunications sector have created new opportunities and access to growing infrastructure for a variety of competitors, which has for example led to AT&T’s recent purchase of Iusacell and plans to make high-speed mobile Internet service available to 100 million people in Mexico by end of 2018.
Beyond that, Mexico boasts a growing middle class and encouraging economic indicators, including a strong credit rating and low unemployment. It is now Latin America’s second largest economy, as well as the United States’ third largest source of imports and second largest export market.
All these promising signs and indicators, as well as Mexico’s strongly ranked ease of doing business, makes it an attractive time to open up business within its borders. NexGen’s new offerings in Mexico City, combined with its robust and expanding network in the area (with recent expansions in Miami and Brazil), provide customers doing business in the region with excellent connectivity in addition to its renowned standard of service.
