The 2nd Annual Spring Gala – Building a Legacy, “Fairytales After Dark”
The International Academy of Smyrna (IAS) is hosting the 2nd Annual Spring Gala - Building a Legacy, Fairytales After Dark for parents, faculty, staff and the community to celebrate together, while raising funds for the Academy's stellar academic and extracurricular programs. This is the school’s premier fundraising event that allows IAS to operate and maintain excellence for their students. As a public charter school they rely on gifts and donations through fundraising efforts - especially from friends and neighbors of the school.
This year’s gala will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Remington Hall, inside Adventure Outdoors at 2500 South Cobb, Smyrna, GA 30080. The event will start at 7:00 PM and continue until the fun stops! For a ticket price of $25 per person, the gala will feature a silent auction, raffles, a buffet dinner, dancing and lots of fun. This is an adults-only event - childcare is being provided at West Cobb Prep Academy located on Windy Hill Road, just minutes away from the gala venue. Please call West Cobb Prep Academy at 770-435-5720 to reserve a spot. Fees are $30 for the first child and $25 for every additional child, with drop-off starting at 6:30 PM and pick-up by 12:30 AM.
“Our inaugural event in 2015 was a tremendous success!” said IAS Principal, Kari Schrock. “It is my hope that this annual event will continue to grow along with the financial support for our school. After all, who doesn’t love a great party?" For those who plan to attend, the Silent Auction is a cool way to “bid” on an item by writing your name and price you’d pay on the item sheet. The bidding is open for a period of time and the highest bidder wins! During the Raffles, there are lightning rounds to sell tokens and then a winner is called by their token number. Some of the items that were popular last year included Principal for the Day, Mayor for the Day, Carpool King or Queen, uniform gift certificates, gym memberships, spa or massage packages, restaurant gift cards, camp vouchers, family vacations and more! Mark your calendar – this party with a purpose is bound to be better than any fairytale.
