Shri Upendra Kushwaha and Sri Kiren Rijiju Launch WisdomWinds, India’s First Buddhist Philosophy-Based Monthly Magazine
WisdomWinds Inc. releases a magazine WisdomWinds, highlighting philosophies of Buddha.
New Delhi, India, April 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- WisdomWinds, a monthly magazine that aims to promote Buddhist philosophy and alternative lifestyle, was launched on the auspicious occasion of Ashoka Jayanti, at Asoka Mission, New Delhi on April 14, 2016.
The inaugural issue was launched by the chief guest of the event, Shri Upendra Kushwaha, honourable Minister of State for Human Resources Development, and guest of honour, Sri Kiren Rijiju, honourable Minister of State for Home, in the presence of Ven. Lama Lobzang, Secretary General, International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and other honourable guests.
The event was organised by the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), in collaboration with the members of Indian Buddhist communities, to commemorate the birth anniversary of emperor Ashoka.
Present during the occasion were Shri Kushwaha Ram Kumar Sharma, Member of Parliament from Sitamarhi, Bihar, His Excellency Mr Sanjaasuren Bayaraa, Ambassador, Embassy of Mongolia, Mr. Kapila Fonseka, Minister, High Commission of Sri Lanka, among other dignitaries.
More than 1000 people, including members of the communities who trace their roots to Emperor Ashoka and Gautama Buddha, graced the occasion, and welcomed the launch of the magazine with a round of applause.
Speaking about the genesis behind the magazine, Nidhi Kundra, Editor-in-Chief of WisdomWinds says, “Buddhism typically defines enlightenment as a journey of understanding and mastering our true self. The eternal teachings of Buddha, which are relevant for all generations, have been compiled and curated in printed format in WisdomWinds magazine. Considering all of us as Buddhas, WisdomWinds magazine has a vision to spread Buddha’s words through his teachings, sites and articles. It is our endeavour to proliferate the infinite Buddha wisdom, courage and compassion that runs as a power house inside each and every sentient being.”
The magazine will be released for mass distribution on April 20, 2016.
