Aaron Black, Inova Health System to speak at GTCbio’s Big Data Bioinformatics Conference

Boston, MA, April 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Aaron Black, Director of Informatics at Inova Health Systems will present at GTCbio’s Big Data Bioinformatics Conference to be held on May 25-26, 2016 in Boston, MA.

Aaron Black is a thought leader in personalized medicine informatics and a results-driven technical leader with a 15+ year record of successful project and program implementations. He is leading the effort to build a world-class Informatics team to support the goals of The Inova Translational Medicine Institute (ITMI), which is the Inova Health System’s visionary initiative to bring personalized medicine to Northern Virginia and the world. ITMI has assembled one of the world’s largest genomic datasets that is enriched with clinical, specimen and biological data. ITMI is partnering with leading experts in biology, genetics, computing and data analytics to build a cutting edge Informatics infrastructure that will become a world leader in genomics and lead the way in precision medicine.

Mr. Black is a member of the Virginia Health Information Technology Standards (HITSAC) Genomics Working Group, whose mission is to enable personalized medicine, clinical genomics, genetic research and related bioinformatics within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

GTCbio's Big Data Bioinformatics conference will provide cutting-edge information on developments in all areas of Bioinformatics research and novel Big Data analytic approaches.
