Kiddie Academy® Earns CITA Certification
Accreditation Gives Company International Recognition, Parents Peace of Mind
Abingdon, MD, January 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- When entrusting the care of your child to someone else, one craves some form of assurance that their child is in good hands. Kiddie Academy® has long provided wary parents with a sterling reputation and unparalleled programs; and, as of November 20, 2007, the company can add CITA accreditation – and being one of the first educational preschools in the country to receive it – to its already extensive list of accomplishments.
“CITA accreditation is an internationally recognized sign of quality and to have achieved this sets us even further apart from our competition,” said William Endres, chief operations officer for Kiddie Academy®. “Parents have many choices when selecting childcare and want to feel certain that we adhere to standards that are based on successful professional practices and the latest educational research. Our CITA accreditation proves our commitment to quality education and our commitment to the success of our students – just one more reason why we’re the best at what we do.”
CITA, or the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation, was founded in 1994 as a way to bring together the premier American educational accrediting agencies into one organization. Kiddie Academy® was evaluated on 12 CITA standards, including financial resources, responsibilities, relationship, business plan, education programs, legal council and insurance, before they could be accredited. Now that the company is accredited, individual Kiddie Academy® locations may apply and become candidates for accreditation based on a self-study and peer review evaluation.
Kiddie Academy® has been a leader in child care education for more than 25 years. It operates and franchises education-based child care centers throughout the United States based on a proven operating system and highly respected, proprietary curriculum that have made it one of the nation’s leading, licensed providers in a highly regulated industry. Kiddie Academy® provides education-based child care for children ages six weeks to 12 years old, including before and after school care and summer camp programs. There are currently 91 Kiddie Academy® locations in 20 states, including 85 franchised centers and six company-owned academies. Approximately 50 additional centers are in various stages of development and plans are to open 20 to 30 new locations each year with a long-range goal of 200 academies by the end of 2012. All future growth will come via franchising.
