Chicago Youth Centers Announces RR Donnelley as Presenting Sponsor for 2016 Annual Believe in Kids Dinner: Imagining Tomorrow Today
Celebrating Chicago Youth Centers’ 60-year legacy and looking forward to Chicago’s future.
Chicago, IL, April 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Chicago Youth Centers (CYC), Chicago's largest independent youth and family services organization, announced RR Donnelley as the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Believe in Kids Dinner. The event, which engages more than 400 local business, philanthropic, and community leaders annually, will be held on Thursday, May 19 at The Standard Club, located at 320 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago. This year’s dinner also will celebrate CYC’s 60th year of continuous service in Chicago communities on the south and west sides of the city.

Elliott Donnelley served as Vice Chairman of RR Donnelley for several years. “When Elliott, along with his friend Sidney Epstein, founded Chicago Youth Centers in 1956, they imagined a bold, audacious future: a Chicago where every child has access to the resources and opportunities needed to succeed. The theme of this year’s event is Imagining Tomorrow Today. “With the support of RR Donnelley, we look toward our next 60 years and to the future of our city,” said Barbara Mosacchio, Chicago Youth Centers President and CEO. “Our children are the next generation of leaders and innovators, but they need intentional programs, safe spaces, and supportive mentors to overcome the socioeconomic and academic gaps they face. CYC’s vision is for our children to be the last generation to live in poverty and violence. When we imagine tomorrow, today, we take meaningful steps for that vision to become a reality.”
Believe in Kids Dinner will feature a keynote speech by award-winning principal and speaker Pearl Arredondo, cocktail reception, formal dinner, and extensive silent auction. Eugene DeRamus will be honored as the Donnelley-Epstein Spirit of Youth award winner. Sponsorships range from $5,000 to $25,000, with individual tickets available for $500. More than 90% of every dollar raised at the event directly supports CYC programming.
