New York, NY, April 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Green Mustache smoothies and Jax Coco coconut waters are just two of the natural thirst-quenchers to be tapped at the sixth annual New York City Vegetarian Food Festival presented by U.S. Veg Corp, May 7-8, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.
Thirsty attendees can also try Suavva Cacao Fruit Smoothies that will showcase their cold-squeezed signature drinks made from South American cacao pods. Pilot Kombucha will also share its Brooklyn-based fermentations of such flavors as blueberry lemongrass and grapefruit mint.
After whetting the appetite, attendees can proceed to discover a plethora of plant-based food purveyors. They will include Beyond Sushi, Cedar’s Mediterranean (hummus), Goldthread (herbs), Holi Aioli, I Heart Keenwah (quinoa), La Crepe C’est Si Bon, Riverdel (nut-based dairy-free cheese), The Cinnamon Snail, and dozens of others.
Chocolate-lovers will be in luck as they visit the booths of Nicobella Organics, Premium Chocolatiers, and Rescue Chocolate.
To assuage other sweet-tooth cravings, there will be samples from DF Mavens (frozen desserts), Mompops (ice pops), Mo’Pweeze Bakery (cupcakes, cakes, donuts), and Ponycakes (brittles, sandwich cookies, and more.)
Attendees can also check out the plant-based fashion and beauty companies on hand as well such as Grape Cat Vegan Fashion, Herbivore Clothing, and Guerrilla WearFare. The outfits with bath and body sundries include Canopy Verde, Purity Cosmetics, the Fanciful Fox, and others.
A plant-based lifestyle even includes humane leisure options. With that in mind, The Stanford Inn and Silverleaf Resorts will each staff booths at the Festival. Camp Zeke will pass out information on its summer camping experiences for youngsters. And Vegan Italiano Tours will tempt intrepid travelers.
Another selection of tablers will be non-profit organizations, such as BeFreegle Foundation, Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Coalition for Healthy School Food, Mercy For Animals, NYCLASS, Peace Advocacy Network, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Tamerlaine Farm Animal Sanctuary, and Veg Option Allies & Advocates.
In addition to the company and organization booths, there will be a variety of live presentations and entertainment. Celebrity chefs are scheduled to demonstrate their techniques. Ivy League-trained physicians will present their research results on the health benefits of a plant-based diet. Stand-up comedy, magic and music will also complement the weekend’s entertainment. There will also be entertainment and activities just for kids in the Kumquat Kids Area of the Festival.
The NYC Vegetarian Food Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, May 7-8, 2016. For further information or to purchase tickets, visit nycvegfoodfest.com.
