Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Awarded 2016 TANF Employment Award of Excellence

Dover, DE, April 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino was named Kent County Employer of the Year during the 2016 TANF Employment Awards of Excellence ceremony held on April 20.

The awards honor employers who hire, train and maintain positive working relationships with employees who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits and TANF clients who have excelled in their new workplace.

Award winners were selected by members of the Governor’s Welfare Employment Committee.

Also, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino employee Richard Holleger of Woodside, Del., who works as a dishwasher and porter, was nominated for the Employee of the Year award. Holleger has worked at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino since September 2015.

Dover Downs Hotel & Casino was one of 20 employers nominated for the Employer of the Year award and one of five from Kent County. Holleger was one of 29 employees nominated for the Employee of the Year award, and one of eight from Kent County.
