Enterprising Women Welcomes Three New Members to Advisory Board
Andrea Conner, Mary Frantz and Marti Hedge to Serve as Board Members for Women Business Owners’ Publication
Raleigh, NC, April 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine, has appointed Andrea Conner, Mary Frantz and Marti Hedge to serve on the Enterprising Women advisory board. The board is comprised of a select group of women and men who support the publication and give back to the women business owners’ community by providing leadership, motivation and inspiration to thousands of women entrepreneurs across North America and around the world.
As founder of Stevenson Conner Global Strategies, Conner advances women’s professional leadership capacity by focusing on gender, diversity and leadership development. She coaches emerging leaders, as well as owners of established businesses, so they can reach their full potential. Through Stevenson Conner Global Strategies, Conner serves as executive director of Athena International, a North Carolina chapter of the premier women’s leadership program. A servant to the global community, she is the national board director of Athena International, the board vice president of Sias International University Foundation and a governing body board member for the Raleigh chapter of the U.S. National Committee for UN Women. She is a consultant for the World Academy for the Future of Women, and she previously worked for United Nations Women Beijing. Andrea holds a master’s degree in global leadership from Duquesne University and bachelor’s degrees in economics and business from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Frantz is the founder of Enterprise Knowledge Partners, LLC (EKP), a premier provider of cyber security, enterprise technology architecture, eDiscovery and forensics. Frantz has more than 25 years of experience in leading edge technology and cyber security. Of these years, 12 were spent in executive leadership roles in Fortune 150 corporations. When Frantz founded EKP in 2004, it was one of few women-owned technology firms, as well as one of the only firms to combine technology and security with eDiscovery services in Minnesota. Since 2004, EKP has grown to include employees in four states. Frantz is a board member of the Cyber Security Summit, a 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year recipient and a fierce advocate of women in STEM as part of the Million Women Mentors. She holds four undergraduate degrees from Northern Illinois University, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in computer science engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Hedge is president and founder of Edge Solutions and Consulting Inc., a leading provider of technology solutions and complex IT architecture design and installation for enterprise clients. Hedge started the company in 1999 after a tenured career at IBM in various sales and management roles. She directs a range of strategic initiatives to successfully leverage the company’s core competencies in sales, services and operational excellence to create customer value. Her extensive experience in the technology industry, combined with her collaborative leadership style, operational expertise and ability to adapt to changes in the business climate, has been the stimulus for Edge Solutions’ continued growth and success over the last 16 years. An active member of the community, Hedge mentors high school and college-aged young women in charting their educational plans, guiding them through the rigorous college enrollment process and providing financial assistance through Edge Solutions-sponsored scholarships to pursue their academic goals. Furthermore, Hedge serves as a life coach to at-risk young men and women, providing them with the guiding wisdom, spiritual insight and unrelenting passion to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
