Godwin Heights High School to Play on a High Performance Synthetic Turf System from UBU Sports

Wyoming, MI, May 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Godwin Heights High School is replacing its grass playing field with the Intensity S4-R Series synthetic turf system from UBU Sports®, the premier manufacturer and supplier of synthetic turf systems preferred most by NFL teams. The Fighting Wolverines — which had previously used its field exclusively for football while soccer was played at a local park — will now use the field for football, soccer, marching band as well as baseball and softball practices in the spring as needed.

Godwin Heights will be unique in its conference as it will be the only school that has synthetic turf. “We have many athletes with speed and this new field will allow us to utilize that speed in our game plan to create a home field advantage,” Porco continues.

The Intensity S4-R Series features the HarmonyTM slit-film fibers with a rubber infill system that ensures a safe and durable playing surface. Drainage perforations in the turf allow water to move quickly through the turn and into the drainage system. Meanwhile, the exclusive multiple layer ARMOURWEAVE backing system ensures dimensional stability and long-lasting seams, while a secondary backing ensures fiber retention.
