For the first time GBDCEI will participate in the community giving event the Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties, a 24 hour online fundraising event designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits. “We wanted to provide supporters with an unforgettable experience as a thank you for their support,” said Annette Gray, President and Founder of the nonprofit organization. Gray continued, “We are extremely grateful that the United Way of Palm Beach County and the Community Foundation of the Palm Beach and Marin Counties created this platform that allows the smaller no-profit organizations in the county to maximize and leverage their fundraising efforts.”

The Great Give is a community-wide event that is specific to Palm Beach & Martin Counties. It's a branded day of giving (similar to Giving Tuesday, which comes after Black Friday and Cyber Monday). The concept is based on the premise that "many hands make light work." Similarly, many donors can make a huge impact/contribution together. It's a celebration of our community and how we can all come together to contribute to improving the quality of life for many diverse groups of people in the community.

Highlights of the event on May 3rd includes: food, cash bar, music, raffles, prize, celebrity bartenders and a national A Tweet Up. A $20 donation will give guests access to a dinner buffet and one free drink. Donations will help GBDCEI a 501c 3 to:

· Provide prizes for the 2016 Young Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition
· Get the Mobile Classroom and Career Center on the road (M.E.L.T.) Mobile
· Entrepreneurship Leadership Training Unit)
· Increase the frequency of which the Kid-preneur Leadership Academy is offered each year.
