About Beverly Patrick O’Brien
Mrs. O’Brien is retired after 15 years from her position as Assistant Manager at the Orange County Library which is a public library in Orlando, Florida. She specialized in business, science, law, English, art, social studies, genealogy, troubleshooting, training, management, client services and customer service. She was awarded membership in Beta Phi Mu, the International Library and the Information Series Genealogy. Mrs. O’Brien is affiliated with the Community Emergency Response Team of Central Florida, the Audubon Society, the A.L.A. and the C.F.L.A.
Ms. O’Brien obtained a B.A. in English Literature from Stetson University in 1975 and a M.L.S. in Informational Studies from Florida State University in 1994. During her collegiate career, she finished a two year major program in one year, receiving numerous awards and certificates of excellence. She previously served as a substitute teacher. Before retiring, Mrs. O’Brien was active in research.
Mrs. O’Brien is a widow. She was married to Patrick James O’Brien. In her spare time she enjoys reading, walking, talking, hiking, solving puzzles, swimming, travel, billiards, movies and spending time with friends.
