Columbia, MD, May 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On Wednesday, May 11, 2016, the Maryland Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) will host their inaugural Bold Leaders in Design Summit and Expo at Gramophone, 8880 McGaw Road, Columbia, Maryland, from 8:00am-5:00pm. An innovative program designed to bring together multiple sectors of the design community to raise awareness, foster collaboration and take action to design safer, healthier buildings. Presentation topics include: Indoor Air Quality- Asthma and Allergies; Sustainability; Food Safety in Design- Food-borne Illness Prevention and Food Allergy Awareness; Holistic Design and more.

Explains Lauryn Murphy, President-elect of the Maryland Chapter of ASID, “When designing a space - food allergies, asthma, security - all represent relevant issues where knowledge of such can significantly influence a healthier, safer final outcome.”
