Round Table Companies Celebrates Ten Years of Storytelling with Vulnerability is Sexy Game

After a decade of pioneering intimacy through storytelling between thought leaders and their audiences, RTC launches a game to challenge players through the art of connection.

Chicago, IL, May 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- For ten years, Round Table Companies (RTC) and its founder and CEO Corey Blake have been using the power of authentic storytelling to guide thought leaders, CEOs, and businesses to build strong connections with audiences. As RTC enters its second decade, the company is proud to announce a dynamic game featuring its unique, heart-centered approach to connection: Vulnerability Is Sexy. More than just a card game, Vulnerability is Sexy is an experience. With 150 questions in three categories, the game invites players to have fun while revealing their true selves and giving people close to them some of life’s most beautiful gifts: time, truth, and connection.

Vulnerability and authenticity have served as the foundation for RTC’s brand storytelling services and book development process, both of which combine deep personal development work with a team writing methodology that breathes poetry into clients’ stories. This one-of-a-kind holistic and collaborative approach has presented an alternative to hiring a ghostwriter and to traditional boring marketing for the past ten years, helping to launch hundreds of new thought leaders who are impacting the world.

“We all want to be seen by the world as we are seen through the eyes of the one who loves us most,” Blake said in his recent talk at TEDxSalisbury. “But most of us project what we think others need to see to like us. [Vulnerability is Sexy] is about expressing our truth and being willing to face the resulting intimacy or rejection, both of which force us to grow exponentially.”

Since April of 2015, Blake’s speaking engagements have often been accompanied by the Vulnerability Wall, an art installation featuring the tagline Vulnerability is Sexy. The wall encourages people to submit anonymous fears they are bringing into a conference space; RTC’s talented visual artists then turn those fears into beauty on the wall. The results are exquisite and powerful, never failing to engage large crowds. Vulnerability Walls have been featured at various conferences nationwide this year, including The Hope Global Summit, Conscious Capitalism, and Social Venture Network.

In January 2016, to further the Vulnerability is Sexy conversation with the world, Blake—having served as RTC’s President since founding the company in 2006—appointed Kristin Westberg as RTC’s new President. A work-at-home mother of three, Westberg is not a typical company president—yet she is typical among RTC’s forty-person staff, comprised overwhelmingly of professional women who work from home. Westberg has been with RTC for six years, having served previously as Director of Operations and Training, Client Coordinator, Staff Editor, and even Administrative Assistant, where Blake was first inspired by her talents.

With the company’s day-to-day operations now in Westberg’s capable hands, Blake has become an ambassador for RTC and its message. Blake’s nationwide speaking tour takes him to colleges, companies, and conferences, most recently the TEDx stage, the HOPE Global Forum’s annual summit, Conscious Capitalism, and SVN.

“The way RTC guides clients to feel truly seen in the world is nothing short of magical,” Westberg says. “With Vulnerability is Sexy, we’re determined to bring that magic to as many people as we can.”

Vulnerability is Sexy launched through Kickstarter on April 15, 2016 and is currently more than halfway to its funding goal.
