Ecumen Consulting Services Provides Senior Housing and Long-Term Care Consulting.
Shoreview, MN, January 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- http://www.ecumen.org – Aging services provider Ecumen, one of the country’s largest non-profit senior housing services, development and consulting companies, has named Mary Leber as director of its senior housing and long-term care consulting division.
Ecumen Consulting Services serves senior housing and long-term care providers with strategic planning, repositioning guidance, and assisted living, long-term care, and marketing consultation. It also provides organizations with long-term care training seminars.
“Mary brings extensive experience working in a variety of senior housing and long-term care settings, which will be a tremendous benefit to clients that are dealing with today’s operational challenges, but also who are looking to reposition their services and infrastructure for the age wave,” said Steve Ordahl, senior vice president of business development at Ecumen.
Prior to joining Ecumen in a consulting role last year, Mary worked for seven years for Life Care Services, providing employee training at continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) across the United States. Mary also served as director of nursing for nearly 15 years at Friendship Village, a CCRC in the Twin Cities.
“With the age wave upon us, this is an extremely exciting time for the senior housing and long-term care profession,” said Leber. “My goal is to help senior housing and long-term care providers reach their full potential in serving seniors. That work is wide-ranging, including helping organizations improve today through regulatory compliance, increasing Medicare reimbursements, improving MDS documentation, and preparing for tomorrow through strategic planning and repositioning of senior services, senior housing and care options.”
Ecumen also provides a variety of long-term care seminars for providers. Its newest course offerings focus on how to increase reimbursement levels for long-term care minimum data sets (MDS) and training in psychoactive medication management.
