Connectiv Announces New Incoming Chair of the Connectiv Board of Directors
Washington, DC, May 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Connectiv, the Business Information Association, a division of SIIA, the principal association representing the software and digital content industries, today announced Jim Casella, Director of Stagnito + Edgell Communications named Chairman of the Connectiv Board of Directors. The announcement today at the annual Connectiv Executive Summit in Austin, Texas that Casella has been named Chairman, succeeding Doug Manoni, CEO of SourceMedia, whose term ended.
Casella assumes the 12-month position as Chairman effective immediately. Casella states his plans, “Change for our industry doesn’t start or stop with the shift to digital. We are embracing new ways of serving customers, making money and driving value that redefine what we are. Traditional business concepts such as ‘media’ and ‘advertising’ take a backseat to new value drivers such as events, information services and data in our industry. As the new Chairman of Connectiv, I’m excited by the way the association is broadening its own scope to better serve us an industry.”
Mike Marchesano, managing director of Connectiv, states, “Doug Manoni has been an invaluable partner in rebranding Connectiv and being a chief architect in planning its future. His contributions are recognized throughout the industry, and he has been awarded the 30th McAllister Top Management Fellowship and will act as teacher and advisor on the Digital Magazine Innovation Project at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.”
Marchesano continues, “Jim will be a terrific partner as we continue to strengthen the association and move Connectiv to the next level. We have plans to introduce Connectiv University, a professional continuing education program and the Innovation Awards, a program designed to recognize and award true innovation in the business information sector.
