Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce's 38th Golf Outing Was a Success as the First Copies of New “MGCCI Community Guide 2016” Were Given to Attendees
The 38th Annual Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Golf Outing was a big success and went well beyond the goals of the Board and Golf Committee who were excited about the first release of the new “Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce Community Guide 2016” at the event.
Morton Grove, IL, June 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Morton Grove Chamber's 38th Annual Golf Outing went above and beyond the goals set by the Board of Directors and Golf Committee. Held at the Chevy Chase Country Club (1000 N Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling, IL) the day started early with golfers checking in and having lunch together at 11:00 am The shotgun start to the day began about Noon with the golfers being joined by non-golfers alike for cocktails and dinner that started about 5:30 pm where the new community guide was handed out to all those attending the dinner.
Chamber of Commerce President, Mark Albers said, "I can’t thank you all in enough ways to truly express the Chamber’s gratitude for everyone who supported this event from our golfers, diners, sponsors, donors and raffle ticket purchasers; along with the Golf Committee which did such a great job organizing this event.” Mr. Albers went on to say, “We are truly excited about our new community guide that will be a handy reference book about Morton Grove that we first saw at this event and that will be mailed to our community.” The MGCCI Golf Committee consisted of: Mark Albers (The Mark Albers Co.), Dale Ashcraft (Past MGCCI President), Jeannine Como (Dr. Robert Antman), Carl Graf (Attorney), Debbie Manno (MB Financial Bank) and Nick Marino (Century 21 Marino).
A list of all the sponsors and prize donors who participated in this year’s event can be found on the Morton Grove Chamber's website (www.mgcci.org) and on their Facebook page (Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce). The MGCCI provided a check from a portion of the raffle ticket sales to the American Legion Post 134 for their support of various charities which support those who are serving (or have served) their country in uniform.
The new "Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce Community Guide -2016" will be mailed to 10,000 households and businesses in Morton Grove later this June (2016). The book will have listings of all MGCCI Members (by category of business and alphabetically) along with information about many Morton Grove institutions and groups, local history, advertising and photographs. The cover was created local Morton Grove photographer, Brian Kabat (Brian Kabat Photography) who contributed many of the photos used in the guide with other vintage pictures provided by the Morton Grove Historical Society.
Founded in 1926, the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce and Industry is dedicated to promoting and advocating for the local business community to ensure the continued economic, cultural and civic well-being of Morton Grove. We are a vehicle for business to work collectively to build their business and enhance the economic make-up of the community. We inform businesses and advocate on their behalf about local, state and federal issues.
