Source One’s Latin America Liaison to Become an Inaugural Member of The Mexican Entrepreneur Association in Chicago

Chicago, IL, May 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- This week, Source One’s Latin America sourcing pundit Diego De la Garza becomes an inaugural member of the Chicago chapter of the Mexican Entrepreneurs Association (AEM). Recognized for his work in building relationships with academic and business leaders in Mexico, as well as educating U.S.-based companies looking to identify suppliers in Mexico, De la Garza joins the association looking forward to supporting the group’s goal of bringing together binational business leaders in the U.S. and Mexico.

As one of the top five cities in the U.S. with a strong Mexican community presence, Chicago presents an ideal opportunity for the AEM to expand its reach and continue its goal of building a platform for the entrepreneurial community in both countries. The association’s expansion in the Chicago area reflects the growing need to bring together U.S. and Mexico businesses in an increasingly global market landscape – an endeavor with which Source One and De la Garza are well-versed.

“At Source One, we come across companies all the time who are looking to transition supply chain operations from Asia to Mexico but are challenged by the economic and cultural obstacles. We help companies navigate these challenges to identify the right supply base, as well as implement the right monitoring procedures to ensure long-term success,” explains De la Garza. “I’m thrilled to be a part of an organization in which I can leverage my knowledge of the practice to help bridge the gap between U.S. and Mexico-based companies in a way that is mutually beneficial.”

Established in 1996, the AEM was formed by a group of Mexican business people and professionals looking to achieve success in the U.S. and to assist American Business leaders interested doing business in Mexico. The AEM works to generate business opportunities that promote progress and innovation by strengthening ties and developing programs that support binational business people and young entrepreneurs. At Source One, De la Garza leads the company’s nearshoring and low-cost country practice, having established a network of partners and a proven supplier engagement process. Also this week, De la Garza will be attending the Chicago Chapter of the US Mexico Chamber of Commerce’s luncheon event featuring Mexico’s Secretary of Commerce, Dr. Ildefonso Guajardo Villareal.
