Pacific Records Launches a New Concept Magazine with the Goal of Giving Back to the Music Community

San Diego, CA, February 15, 2006 --(PR.com)-- Nine Cents Magazine started with the goal of finding innovative new ways to promote local music on a national level. The concept came to fruition by creating a free magazine written by musicians and other key voices within the industry. Nine Cents’ objective is to expose music enthusiasts to life beyond the “top 40” hits dictated by mainstream establishments such as MTV and VH1. Meanwhile, the magazine also ensures that many hardworking and talented bands get the recognition they truly deserve. Nine Cents Magazine gives artists a chance to speak their minds and instantly connect with listeners on a scale that was previously unattainable. Artists contributing to the first two issues include the nationally acclaimed bands Less Than Jake, Motion City Soundtrack, Underoath, and Reggie and the Full Effect.
