Connecticut Professional Care Management Company Offering Expert Guidance for Aging Adults Expands Practice - Welcomes New Gerontologist
Hartford, CT, May 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Sage Solutions, LLC, a professional care management company based in West Hartford, CT providing guidance for families of aging parents is pleased to announce that gerontologist Casey McGannon, MA has joined the practice and will support communities with her expertise in eldercare management and issues families face at the end of life.

Ms. McGannon earned her Master’s degree in human development/gerontology from Saint Joseph College. Her experience includes Director of Programs and Education for the Alzheimer’s Association in Connecticut. In addition, Ms. McGannon owned and operated a Home Instead Senior Care office on Prince Edward Island for six years, working with Island seniors and their families to ensure they had the most appropriate level of care, advising them of all care options available.
During her time on Prince Edward Island, Ms. McGannon coordinated a two-year education project with the Alzheimer Society of PEI working with first responders and long-term care facilities on understanding issues of wandering and methods to avoid flight risk. She also co-facilitated a two-day course for professionals at the University of Prince Edward Island Centre for Lifelong Learning “Heightening Health Care Professionals to the Realities and Subtleties of Dementia.”
"I couldn’t be more excited to be back home and working with Kathy and Kate again,” says McGannon. “Working with the aging community and their families is so meaningful and I look forward to collaborating and utilizing our extensive training to make this sensitive time a little more comforting.”
For the last four years, Casey was the Grief Support Coordinator for Hospice PEI, and as a member of the Integrated Palliative Care Team she worked with volunteers, medical and administrative staff and most importantly, families and individuals at the end of their lives to ensure they all received compassionate, caring support.
