RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon to Visit Reinberg Elementary School on the Northwest Side of Chicago to Teach Students About History and Science of Ballooning
The RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and crew will visit Reinberg Elementary School in Portage Park on June 6 to present an educational program about the history and science of hot air ballooning.
Chicago, IL, May 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Students at Peter A. Reinberg Elementary School, 3425 N. Major Ave., in Chicago’s Portage Park community, will learn about hot air ballooning when the RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon and its crew visit the school on June 6 to present a special interactive educational program. The visit is part of an on-going balloon education program developed by RE/MAX.
Presentations covering various aspects of ballooning will be made to 115 students, who will learn about the history of balloon flight and the scientific principles involved and see a demonstration during which the envelope of the 75-foot-tall balloon will be partially inflated to help students understand how the balloon functions. The program will begin at 9:20 a.m. in the school gymnasium, then move outdoors, if conditions allow, so that students can see a demonstration of the burners used to heat the air inside the balloon envelope.
