New Integrated PA, Sounder, and Emergency Alert System Introduced by Time Management Specialists
Harmonys, a versatile network-based PA, audio and bell sounding system has just been launched by Bodet Ltd one of Europe’s leading suppliers of time management solutions.
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, May 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- This innovative system uses standard Internet Protocol and POE (Power over Ethernet) which means it can run over established computer networks, so is ideal for refurbishment projects as well as new builds.
Harmony’s broadcasts a range of live and pre-recorded announcements, high quality melody or bell sounds which can be programmed to broadcast at set times such as shift changes, lunch breaks or end of day. As well as 90dB wall or ceiling mounted sounders for internal use, the system can also be supplied with more powerful 110dB waterproof sounders for external use.
The system is supplied with a central control box, which can be used for manual activation of bell sounds, pre-recorded announcements or emergency procedure alerts. A microphone can also be added so that live or pre-recorded announcements can be broadcast.
As the system takes its power and data from an existing computer network, Harmonys requires minimal cabling and is quick and easy to install. Each sounder has its own IP address, so up to 15 specific zones can be set up within a large site. Configured using Bodet’s intuitive Sigma software, Harmonys can be programmed to broadcast pre-recorded announcements, melody or bell alerts either to all sounders or just limited to specific zones. If a live announcement is made during a bell alert, the sounder memorises the bell sound which is then resumed immediately following the announcement.
Harmonys’ versatility makes it ideal as an integrated emergency alert system. While a traditional bell system announces that an emergency situation has arisen, it doesn’t differentiate between evacuation or lockdown. The possibility of violent attack is a threat that cannot be ignored in today’s world, and the last thing any factory or office building wants is people streaming out to assembly points when lockdown is the safest action. Harmonys can broadcast specific, informative alerts for both evacuation and lockdown so all staff know exactly what to do whatever situation arises.
In addition to CDs, SD cards and memory sticks, the system is compatible with all types of audio sources such as WebRadio and Webmusic so it can be used for streaming background music when it’s not being used as a PA system.
Harmonys is ideal not only for schools, large offices, warehouses, shops and supermarkets, but also for multi-site organisations such as hospitals, sports and leisure centres, food preparation and manufacturing sites.
