Neurologist Scott Selco Joins PersonalMD Advisory Board
Noted Nevada neurologist will contribute his expertise to a new firm innovating healthcare business models.
Las Vegas, NV, May 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Scott Selco, noted stroke expert and hospital neurologist, has joined the Board of Advisors for PersonalMD, Inc., the innovation leader in concierge medicine practice conversion.
Dr. Selco earned his MD and PhD (in Neuroscience) from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1999. He completed internship and neurology residency at Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in Neurology. He completed fellowship training in stroke and cerebrovascular disease at the UCLA Stroke Center in 2004.
Since relocating to Las Vegas after fellowship Dr. Selco has been a leading innovator in stroke and neurohospital medicine. He directed the Stroke Center at Sunrise Hospital to become Las Vegas’ first Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center in 2006. He then moved to the St. Rose Dominican Hospital system in May 2010 to direct their evolving three-campus stroke system of care. Under his direction, in August 2010 the Siena Campus became Las Vegas’ ninth Primary Stroke Center (PSC), and subsequently the St. Martin and Rose de Lima campuses gained PSC certification.
