Pastor Responds to the Transgender Directive from the White House
Myrtle Beach, SC, June 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Frank Policastro, pastor of Real Life Church in Myrtle Beach, SC, in response to recent transgender directives from the White House, announced the formation of the Real Life Learning Academy. “We owe it to our children to provide a safe learning environment without the confusion of political correctness,” Policastro said. “The recent and unprecedented new rules set forth by the president only seek to push an agenda and further call into question the validity of Biblical morality.”
Real Life Church, an independent Bible-based church in Myrtle Beach, plans to work with the South Carolina Public Charter Schools to provide a public school alternative. Students attending the Real Life Learning Academy will receive the same high level of education. including AP courses, and will still be allowed to participate in the sports programs at their local schools.
“We believe the issue to be 'gender confusion' which can be treated through thoughtful spiritual and professional counseling,” Policastro stated. “The idea that someone born male should be able to shower in the girls' locker room because he thinks of himself as a female is outside the realm of common sense,” he continued.
“Plus, it's dangerous. We pray for the transgender students due to the fact that they are at risk, as well as the other students. I played high school sports. I witnessed testosterone-based bullying behavior. We do not want any harm to come to any students,” Pastor Frank emphasized.
The idea of an affordable, public school alternative is already garnering attention in the community and has been featured on local TV news. The pastor notes most people's concern about high school hazing.
“We have already witnessed too many young people whose lives have been destroyed by video cams and phone videos posted online. It's time to ensure that all kids enjoy a safe, high-quality education.”
