Tampa, FL, June 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Nancy Harris, Tampa family lawyer and senior partner of Harris & Hunt, PA, was selected to deliver a workshop, “Oops, I Meant to Say – Why Words Matter in Collaboration” at the 5th Annual European Collaborative Practice Conference hosted by The Dutch Association of Collaborative Professionals (VvCP) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She co-presented with Dr. Kim Costello and Raleigh “Lee” Green of Greene & Greene.
The presentation “Oops, I Meant to Say – Why Words Matter in Collaboration” covered communication styles, listening skills, and more effective self-expression. The overarching theme of the conference, titled “Beyond Words,” was communication. In plenary sessions and various other workshops, all types of communication in collaborative practice were dealt with by collaborative professionals from all over the world.
Both nationally, with the passing of the Collaborative Process Law in Florida, and internationally, lawyers are adding collaborative divorce to their practices as an alternative to traditional litigation. The process is achieved with a team of lawyers, an independent financial professional, and a mental health professional – all working collaboratively to achieve consensus.
