Mad Men & Martinis - A Retro Cocktail Party for a Cause

Austin, TX, June 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On Thursday, June 16, 2016, Project Transitions hosts the first annual Mad Men & Martinis retro cocktail party fundraiser to benefit people living with HIV/AIDS.

Festivities start at 6:30pm at Galvanize’s offices at 118 Nueces St. Revolution Spirits, Deep Eddy Vodka, and Republic Tequila will be providing classic and Mexican martinis accompanied by 1960s inspired appetizers from Lee’s Meat Market. The night will consist of music by DJs Feelthy Good People, a Foodie-Focused Silent Auction, a Twist Dance Contest, and a selection of retro décor will be for sale.

“Mad Men & Martinis is unlike any event we’ve had before,” said Cindy Goldman, Board of Directors member of Project Transitions. “We really wanted to create an event that allowed anyone to come on out and have a cocktail with us.”

Project Transitions is a non-profit organization that provides housing, hospice and support services for individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS in Central Texas. Programs include Doug’s House, a five-bedroom residential hospice and recuperative care facility; Roosevelt Gardens, Highland Terrace, and Community Housing, supportive transitional housing programs; and Top Drawer Thrift.
