The award was presented in conjunction with 2016 National Business Week at a ceremony held at 26 Federal Plaza in New York City.
Since it was first declared in 1963 by John F. Kennedy, the president of the United States continues to make an annual proclamation announcing National Small Business Week. The week represents an opportunity for Americans to pay tribute to the important role that small business owners play in the economy.
