New Office Supply Site Attempts to Compete with Big Chain Stores

Office In Stock is attempting to use “smart buying” as a way to compete with big chain office stores and keep their prices low enough to catch consumer's attention.

Though the small company only has five employees, including the three owners, they claim that the majority of the work they do is customer service related. Unlike other larger office supply chains, the staff at Office In Stock claims that they will take the time to discuss the best options of each individual customers whether they are looking for computer products, office furniture or even pens. “You will never be able to be as cheap as a company that is able to buy tens of millions of dollars worth of merchandise a year, but you can certainly be better than them when it comes with treating you customers with the respect they deserve,” says Mullson.

While Office In Stock sells the same type of products that most chain office supply stores sell, they are promoting a concierge service. The service they provide includes a “full office preparation.” The company will supply the office with furniture, computers, office supplies and a number of other products that a new company may need to get started. This service of course comes at a price but is a unique product that can not be found anywhere else in the industry.
