Adventureproof Eyewear Brand SunGod Sends New Limited Edition Model Sunglasses Into Space
London, United Kingdom, June 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- To showcase a new Limited Edition design of their Classics2 model, Ali Watkiss and Zoe Armstrong, founders of the British eyewear brand, SunGod launched 100 pairs of their latest Limited Edition “Out of This World” sunglasses in a thermally insulated capsule into space, rigged with multiple go-pros. The result is this astonishing footage of the sunglasses in front of the curvature of the horizon, right at the edge of the earth’s atmosphere.
SunGod advertise their sunglasses as Adventureproof® and provide a lifetime guarantee against breakage, as the frames are built them from a memory polymer that flexes back into shape if bent. As such they encourage their customers to take their sunglasses out on every adventure, where they would otherwise not want to take an expensive pair of designer shades.
Months of research went into the Out of this World launch, including studying weather patterns, liaising with air-traffic control and aviation authorities, and testing the sunglasses at -175oC in liquid nitrogen.
The London-based company first launched their original SunGod Classics model through crowdfunding in 2013, and now boast a rapidly expanding loyal customer base worldwide, who understand the need for quality sunglasses that won’t cost the earth.
In a bid to emphasise their competitive price point (£60 polarised, £45 non-polarised), they are selling their “Out of This World” model for £45, the same price as their standard non-polarised glasses. Based on their previous Limited Edition designs, they expect to sell out within a few hours of launching.
