New Product to Brew K-Cups Without a Coffee Maker Lists on Indiegogo Crowd Funding Website
Make1CupTM: A brand new invention to brew K-cups directly inside of a standard coffee maker, or without a coffee maker, lists on the major crowd-funding platform Indiegogo
Austin, TX, June 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Today, ComCity® LLC announced that it has launched its’ new invention called Make1CupTM on the Indiegogo crowd funding campaign. Make1cup is a patent pending device that allows you to brew K-cup single brew cups or pods directly inside of most standard drip coffee makers without buying an additional more expensive single-cup brewing device. Single brewer coffee companies, like Keurig, account for 37% of the total and growing $9 Billion coffee sales (or about $3.5 Billion). However, most of the worldwide population (about 54%), still drink coffee that was brewed in a traditional drip coffee maker like a Mr. Coffee®. These traditional drip coffee drinkers will now be able to place their K-cups inside of a Make1Cup device and replace their standard coffee filter basket with the Make1Cup attachment.
Unlike traditional coffee makers, Make1Cup is portable because it will also brew K-cups without a coffee maker. The Make1Cup brewer attachment can be twisted into a special cup attachment that allows a person to put the device directly on a cup. Using boiling water from a microwave, or even a campfire while camping, a single cup of coffee can be brewed anywhere where there is access to hot water eliminating the need to carry or buy a coffee maker.
K-Cups are very convenient because they provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate or other beverage in a self contained portable device with a long self life. However, K-cups have recently come under attack by some environmentalists because of the large amount of environmental waste created by the tiny plastic cups once they have been used. Because of the popularity of K-cups, the amount of K-cup waste buried in 2014 was estimated to be enough to circle the Earth 12 times, according to James Hamblin as reported on theatlantic.com. The other disadvantage of K-cups is that a typical cup of coffee can cost anywhere from 4-6 times as much as simply buying the coffee used in traditional drip machines. Make1Cup uses a reusable mesh filter basket that allows you to make a single hot beverage by placing the coffee or tea directly into the filter basket. In this way, you make single cups of coffee or tea without generating K-cup waste and saving money on coffee by buying it in larger 1 lb. bags.
