KJT Group, Inc. Named 2016 Wealth of Health Employer of the Year

Honeoye Falls, NY, June 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- KJT Group, Inc. is excited to announce that, in its first year eligible for the award, it has been named the 2016 Wealth of Health Employer of the Year for companies with 1-99 employees. An annual award since 2005, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and the Rochester Business Journal honor Rochester area employers who promote health and wellness in the workplace.

Winners of the Wealth of Health Awards were announced at a luncheon on June 8, at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Winners were selected from a group of 19 finalists and were judged on criteria such as program participation, creativity and sustainability, and senior management engagement.

KJT Group’s wellness program, Wellness by Design, was founded in early 2015 by staff members looking for a way to keep health and wellness top of mind in the workplace. Wellness by Design has three main goals: 1) Boost KJT Group employees’ health and morale, 2) Improve employee recruitment and retention efforts, 3) Have fun. The program encompasses four core components (Know Your Numbers: Health Risk Assessments, Exercise & Physical Fitness, Nutrition & Healthy Eating, and Sound Mind) and emphasizes participation in activities that promote wellbeing.

“As truly organic and employee-driven, it is fantastic to be recognized for our efforts to develop and implement our employee wellness program. A small group of employees formed a committee, surveyed our employees and ran with it. It is amazing how the fitness challenges and community events have really brought our employees closer together. The onsite chair massages might be everyone’s favorite wellness sponsored activity. We are having a lot of fun with it and have even adopted a mascot; a kangaroo named Josephine 'Jo Jo' Wellington,” said KJT Group President and CEO, Dr. Kenneth J. Tomaszewski.
