Davidson Realty Hosts Event to Help Agents with New Industry Rule
All real estate professionals are invited to an event hosted by Davidson Realty, Inc. on Thursday, June 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at its World Golf Village office, created to help real estate agents understand TRID.
St. Augustine, FL, June 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Northeast Florida real estate leader Davidson Realty, Inc. will host an event on Thursday, June 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at its World Golf Village office to help real estate agents understand TRID, also known as the TILA-RESPA (Truth In Lending Act-Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act) Integrated Disclosure rule.
The event will be led by Troy Silhan with Bank of England Mortgage and William Li, Esq. with Landmark Title.
"We want to discuss the impact of TRID on Realtors and customers in 2016 and beyond," said Silhan. "We are moving past the initial discomfort the industry felt from TRID's adoption last year, which we hope to further encourage with this event."
The rule was enacted in October 2015. According to Realtor.com, TRID was intended to integrate "existing disclosures with new requirements from the Dodd-Frank Act to improve consumer understanding of the mortgage process, aid in comparison shopping, and help to prevent surprises at the closing table."
The discussion will center on changes to contracts as a result of TRID, national and local timeline adjustments for closings and important details agents need to better communicate with customers.
Silhan said, "TRID was intended to make the loan process more efficient, but communication between lenders, title companies, Realtors and customers is key to making the process work."
Davidson Realty invites all real estate professionals to attend the event. For more information or to RSVP contact Peyton Davidson at (904) 940-5000 or pdavidson@davidsonrealtyinc.com. Davidson Realty's World Golf Village office is located at 100 East Town Place, Suite 100, in St. Augustine.
