Los Angeles, CA, June 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Creating Arts Studios is proud to present The Clifton’s Canteen - A Tribute to the 1940s USO Shows, this show is the first in a series and is an all new style of immersive theatrical cabaret where the audience and cast become one to tell the story in different stages at the venue. This exclusive event runs only two days only July 2nd and July 3rd, 2016 from 8PM - 10PM at Clifton’s Cafeteria, 648 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014.
Walking into the building is like stepping back into time. From the moment you arrive and are escorted through the front door by Jr. Hostesses, you are immersed into a spectacular scene of musical entertainment from an era gone by before the actual show even begins. Performed at the beautifully restored historic Clifton’s Cafeteria on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, Clifton’s was built in 1931 and was known during World War II for offering troops free food and pay what you can for those that could not afford it.
The first episode: Clifton’s Canteen is a full scale U.S.O. style star studded bash. Punch up your dance card while dancing with the stars and fill up on drinks with your ration card while you enjoy the show. Flash back to an era gone by when the Andrew Sisters, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby and the stars of the 40s entertain the troops with standards that you know and love all played by a jazz hot band. This is a one time event that you won’t want to miss, you brush off your 40s fashion and come celebrate in style. The episodic musical continues with the next show in the series: The Pacific Seas. This immersive cabaret will take you on a journey to experience the song, dance, sights and sounds of the South Pacific during the 1940s with the style of the Clifton’s Tiki Room.
