"Dream the Big Dream" Youth Conference and Gala

Hampton, VA, June 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Changing Lives Together, Inc. will be hosting a youth conference at the Crowne Plaza Marina Hotel. “Dream the Big Dream” Youth Conference supports children of incarcerated parents. This event is designed to encourage youth to dream big. The weekend long youth conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Marina Hotel in Hampton, VA. This event will bring youth ages 13-17 and their parents/guardians together in order to provide support, education, and inspiration through breakout sessions, experiential activities, a college and career expo, excursions and more. This conference, lodging, and food, are completely free for 50 youth (chosen through a referral process) and their guardians. Each conference participant will be engaged through various workshops, inspired by motivational speakers, and challenged by their own imaginations. The goal of this conference is to assist each youth in creating a “roadmap of success” for his/her future. Upon completion of this youth conference, participants will be paired with pre-selected community-leader mentors who will assist them on their “paths of success.”

In order to assist in funding this conference, CLT is hosting a masquerade fundraising gala called “Changing Faces”. This phenomenal event is a red carpet, black tie affair that will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hampton-Marina on July 16th from 7pm-11pm. Community leaders and supporters will come together as they enjoy fine dining, silent auctions, and live entertainment. CLT is excited about the opportunity to raise funds to assist children of incarcerated parents. This special group of youth is often left behind, but it is CLT’s goal to ensure that each teen transitions from the conference empowered to “Dream the Big Dream.”

Changing Lives Together, Inc. (CLT) is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization that was established 2013 in Hampton, VA and was founded on the principle of helping those in need. Its vision is to support the needs of children and families that lack the resources in their community to be successful. CLT provides supportive services that are child centered and family-focused.
