Acclaimed Italian Language Textbook Series Adds New Title
Wayside Publishing has released Chiarissimo Due, a fresh approach to Italian vocabulary, grammar, and culture for Novice-High to Intermediate-Low learners of this exciting modern language.
Freeport, ME, June 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The much anticipated follow up to the popular novice Italian language textbook is here. Wayside Publishing has released Chiarissimo Due, a fresh approach to Italian vocabulary, grammar, and culture for Novice-High to Intermediate-Low learners of this exciting language.
“The overwhelming response we have had to Chiarissimo Uno, and the repeated requests for Chiarissimo Due made it abundantly clear that Italian educators think Wayside Publishing is on the right track with this series,” Wayside Publishing President Greg Greuel says.
Through this new addition to the series, authors Bruna Petrarca Boyle and John Giovanelli allow students more practice and preparation for the AATI National Italian Contest Examination, the AP® Italian Language and Culture Course/Exam, and the SAT II in Italian.
“Chiarissimo Due offers ample opportunities to students to enhance their abilities in all three modes of communication,” Petrarca Boyle says. “Students will feel more confident in the language and therefore consider pursuing … higher levels.”
Learners will journey from Valle d’Aosta to Puglia as they continue to explore the Italian language and culture with Chiarissimo Due.
“It’s a colorful and attractive book and the images will bring students to Italy from the very first page,” Giovanelli says. “It gives students numerous opportunities to speak, write, read, and listen from the very beginning while at the same time immersing them in Italian culture.”
With a focus on communication, the second book in Wayside’s Italian series further develops students’ abilities to ask and answer questions and to exchange opinions and ideas on a diversity of topics using a variety of different tenses.
Teacher resources are abundant in Chiarissimo Due, including learning strategies, suggestions, and techniques to create interactive classes centered around the three modes of communication.
“Bruna and John are very passionate about Italy and Italian culture,” Greuel adds. “They are leading educators in the field and combine their passion and teaching style in an engaging and immersive way for students.”
Audios, practice tests, graded assessments, and interactive classroom forums are an integral part of the curriculum and are located on the online Learning Site. Every new copy of Chiarissimo Due includes a 1-year subscription to the online Learning Site. Schools and educators can purchase Due now in FlexText, hardcover or softcover.
