The Los Angeles Corporate Challenge – the Perfect Recipe for Health, Wellness, and Team Building Among Organizations
Organizations from all across LA County are excited for this annual event.
Los Angeles, CA, June 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Los Angeles Corporate Challenge 2017 season is approaching quickly and the competition spots are filling up fast. 500 organizations within Los Angeles will compete against one another in a variety of 30 different sports activities. The focus here is team building, health, wellness, and philanthropy. With over 40 years of success, the Corporate Challenge has been a well-put together Olympic style event that has helped organizations in many ways. Not only with boosting moral of their employees, but with the ability to market themselves nationwide and gain additional business exposure at an extremely low cost.
The involved represent an employee base of over 150,000 Los Angeles individuals who are familiar with the LACC. Thousands more are spectators and several thousand more act as volunteers to assist with the Games. The LACC Games have more than twice as many competitors as the Olympic Games themselves!
What is the purpose of the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge?
The LACC Mission Statement - To promote team building, health, wellness, and camaraderie by presenting participants with physical endeavors designed to challenge their bodies and minds through the spirit of corporate competition. The philosophy of the LACC has always been to promote employee fitness and recreation within the Los Angeles business community. No other event offers the diversity of sporting opportunities that are provided by the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge. We offer something for everyone. Recreational activities such as darts, horseshoes and fishing are represented as well as competitive athletic events such as softball, volleyball, swimming, and running. A non- competitive walk is one of the most popular events in the LACC and gives everyone a reason to get out and be active! Some of the many benefits to the companies who participate in the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge are: it improves employee morale; it allows employees to work together as a team outside of the workplace, building friendships and stronger work relationships; it allows employees to network with employees from other Los Angeles area businesses; and most importantly it gives these participants a reason to be active and contributes to their overall well-being. We’ve seen it work... many employees train year round for the LACC, many have stopped smoking, dropped some excess weight, and have simply begun to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Who benefits from the Los Angeles Corporate Challenge?
Aside from the personal benefits to everyone who is involved in the Games, each year a Los Angeles-based charitable organization is chosen to benefit financially from the LACC. $100 from each company’s entry fee goes to the charity, as well as the proceeds from concessions at some of our events. We are proud to announce that we will partner with The American Cancer Society and the Make A Wish Foundation. Another great benefit along with this charity is the vast exposure provided by being associated with the LACC. For more information and to sign up now visit the lacorporatechallenge website.
