INTEGRIS Grove Hospital Opens Outpatient Wound Healing Center
INTEGRIS Grove Hospital partnered with Wound Care Specialists to open an advanced wound healing and limb preservation center.
Grove, OK, June 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- INTEGRIS Grove Hospital is proud to announce the opening of its new outpatient wound healing center. Led by board-certified general surgeons Kevin Dare, D.O. and Kyle Wooderson, D.O., the new wound center provides outpatient services to people with chronic or hard to heal wounds. Chronic wounds include; diabetes foot wounds which can lead to amputation, lower leg wounds related to blood flow issues, post-surgical wounds which have delayed closure, and traumatic injury wounds which are complex in nature.
Last year, over eight million people suffering from chronic wounds were treated in the United States, and that number continues to grow. As the prevalence of complicating conditions such as diabetes, obesity, lower leg vascular diseases and heart disease rises, so do the numbers of associated wounds.
The staff of medical professionals at the INTEGRIS Grove have extensive training in the field of wound healing and will bring a comprehensive range of medical services to the community. The goal of the wound center is to significantly increase patients’ wound healing rates, prevent lower extremity amputations and improve patients’ quality of life.
INTEGRIS Grove Hospital partnered with Wound Care Specialists to open the new clinic. Wound Care Specialists is a national wound care company that provides comprehensive wound services for hospitals and long term care facilities for advanced wound healing and limb preservation. Wound Care Specialists provides wound healing services for more than 85 wound centers nationwide.
“We are excited to offer wound care in Grove, Oklahoma and the surrounding area,” said Lee Brumbaugh Chief Development Officer with Wound Care Specialists. “Our research shows high patient need in the area. We look forward to healing chronic wounds and improving the quality of life for the patients we see.”
